Ramar Padam |
It s a town in Ramanathapuram district in the state of Tamilnadu, this town is known is known as one of the holiest places for Hindus and it is considered as a holy pilgrimage site.

From the bridge, you can see the beautiful view of Pamban bridge (The railway track up on the sea).
Took a room in Dhanushkodi road (the victory lodge)for Rs.500 kept our bags inside the room and roamed Rameshwaram completely,
It is small town we decided to visit few places until it is dark, First we went to the 'Ramanathaswamy temple/Shiva temple' it was crowded with the believers, took some pics from outside and took the bike in search of
other places, we did not have any plans just thought of exploring the places our-self asking the localities.

The main shrine is the Lord Rama's Footprint and from the top, you can feel the cool nice breeze and have a great view of the surrounding area of the temple also you can enjoy the mesmerizing views of the lush green forests and beaches makes it as a great place to catch your breath.

Agni Theertham: The eastern sea shore opposite to the Ramanathaswamy temple is named as Agni theertham, It is considered as one of the sacred baths in Rameshwaram
It is believed that by taking bath in this sea will vanish one's sins and make them pure again.
We reached the spot at Agni theertham by 7:00 PM, spent some time on the sea shore feeling the cool breeze and later had dinner at 9:00 PM in the Rameshwaram town and went back to the room as the next day we have planned to go early to the 'Dhanushkodi point'.
