SANKEY TANK PARK ONE OF THE BEST JOGGERS PARK IN BANGALORE 25th Mar'17 Sankey Tank park is a man made lake between malleswaram and sadashiv nagar Bangalore. this tank was also known as 'Gandhadhakotikere'. It is one of the major lakes in Bangalore.     It was basically constructed to meet the demand of water supply in bangalore in the year 1882 by Col.Richard Hieram Sankey, it is now one of the state government protected lakes And now Sankey Tank is one of the cleanly maintained water bodies and is very known for the morning/evening walk and bird watching spot in Bangalore, The  surrounding   localities near by the lake and  the  residents of Bangalore, even the tourists you can find them in the morning /evening hours come here as it is a scenic and peaceful place to visit The other attractions of the Lake is the Landscaped Park, swimming pool, forest department nursery and the most exiting thing...

Thrilling Avalabetta Hilltop

Trekking Avalabetta  Avalabetta is a hillock with pretty nice rocky views from the the hilltop and it is  a common place for the Bangalorians which is around 95kms from Bangalore. After visiting Lepakshi we rode towards Avalabetta, it is around 50 kms from Lepakshi.   The route was pleasant and rode took through some old remote villages.  After riding for a hour and a half we reached by 5:00PM near to the entrance gate of Avalabetta, unfortunately the security guards did not allow us to take the vehicles inside as he said the closing time is at 4:00pm, we pleaded to the guards and finally allowed us to go inside without taking bikes and said us not make it late, It is around 2km trek, we parked our bikes in the parking and started trekking.       We all were bit tired but all the way we have come here and even my friends are here for the first time so we all decided to trek again as there was no othe...
