Thrilling Avalabetta Hilltop
Trekking Avalabetta
Avalabetta is a hillock with pretty nice rocky views from the the hilltop and it is a common place for the Bangalorians which is around 95kms from Bangalore.
After visiting Lepakshi we rode towards Avalabetta, it is around 50 kms from Lepakshi.
The route was pleasant and rode took through some old remote villages.
After riding for a hour and a half we reached by 5:00PM near to the entrance gate of Avalabetta, unfortunately the security guards did not allow us to take the vehicles inside as he said the closing time is at 4:00pm, we pleaded to the guards and finally allowed us to go inside without taking bikes and said us not make it late, It is around 2km trek, we parked our bikes in the parking and started trekking.
We all were bit tired but all the way we have come here and even my friends are here for the first time so we all decided to trek again as there was no other option,
This is why I gave a header as trekking Avalabetta, Usually you can ride or take the vehicles on the cement roads which is the initial road towards the hill.
We used the roads as odd stone steps were too tough, we all were exhausted completely but did not give up finally we reached near to the base of the hilltop after a long trek,
Again we climbed around 50 stone stairs to reach the Hanuman temple and from the temple you need to walk few more to reach the most photographed cliff - famous beak rock in and around bangalore.
The clouds were dark, and there was no crowd at all it was peaceful only us,
reaching near to the cliff we saw that access to the cliff has been blocked
but some how got inside and Spent some time on the cliff taking photographs and enjoying the view
From the cliff you can trek more top but bit difficult trek or else there is another way towards left from hanuman temple and climb around 50 steps you can reach another temple and top of the hill.

We enjoyed the most when the strong wind started hitting us, and it started drizzling so we decided to take off from the place as it is getting too dark and it might rain heavily.
While returning back one of my friends bike got punctured and there was no puncture shop near by as it is sunday he rode with the punctured tyre for around 5-6 kms meanwhile we stopped our vehicles near to a small hotel and had some snacks and chai when the rain was falling heavily,
when the rain stopped we went in search for a puncture shop did not find any in Chikkaballapur so Adarsh and Sharath decided to take a room and stay in chikkaballapur and make it done next day morning. Finally we left from that place and reached our homes safe at 12:30AM.
