SANKEY TANK PARK ONE OF THE BEST JOGGERS PARK IN BANGALORE 25th Mar'17 Sankey Tank park is a man made lake between malleswaram and sadashiv nagar Bangalore. this tank was also known as 'Gandhadhakotikere'. It is one of the major lakes in Bangalore.     It was basically constructed to meet the demand of water supply in bangalore in the year 1882 by Col.Richard Hieram Sankey, it is now one of the state government protected lakes And now Sankey Tank is one of the cleanly maintained water bodies and is very known for the morning/evening walk and bird watching spot in Bangalore, The  surrounding   localities near by the lake and  the  residents of Bangalore, even the tourists you can find them in the morning /evening hours come here as it is a scenic and peaceful place to visit The other attractions of the Lake is the Landscaped Park, swimming pool, forest department nursery and the most exiting thing about this lake
