The Hanging Pillar - LEPAKSHI

                  Veerabhadra Temple / Lepakshi The veerabhadra temple commonly known as Lepakshi Temple Kalyana Mantapa/Marriage Hall Lepakshi is a village in anantapur district of  Andhra Pradesh is built during the Vijayanagara King’s Period.   The Hanging Pillar After trekking Makalidurga we headed towards Lepakshi, It is around 60 kms from Makalidurga, We reached around 1:00PM in Lepakshi Temple, It is built in vijayanagara architectural style.    The sculptures in the temple and the paintings on the ceilings add the beauty of this temple.The best one which mesmerized us is the 'Hanging pillar' which does not rest on the ground fully,       There are about 70 pillars at this 16th century temple of stone in vijayanagara style , hats off to the ancient engineer/temple builder.     There is a Natya Mantapam/Dance Hall with sculpted pillars and a Kalyana Mantapam/Marriage Hall known for

Ramanagara Hills

Hippie on the hills😛   Ramadevara betta/ramanagara hills : 30-04-2017 Ramadevarabetta also called as 'sholay hills' as some of  the scenes of "Sholay" movie has shot here. This place is known for trekking and rama temple on the hill.                                        10 buddies in 5 bikes reached here by 6:00am, it is around 65km from mathikere. Unfortunately the security guard did not  allow us in as he said only at 9am the gate opens(This doesn't  disappointed us but as per my opinion the timings of the hills  should be changed).    We couldn't​ wait till 9am so searched fo other entrance and finally climbed d hills ✌️ at 6:45am we were on top of  the hills.                  Th e hills was calm and beautiful  even the weather  was pleasant. The view from the hills was awesome and satisfying, really enjoyed the spot. Best weekend plan for the bengalurians, You can visit this place with fam
